Storage & reconstitution

Before opening

Lyophilised powder is stable at ambient temperature in transit. On arrival, store sealed vials in a cool, dry, dark place. For storage beyond three months, keep at −20 °C.

Reconstitution

Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner vial wall. Do not shake — swirl gently until fully dissolved.

After reconstitution

Refrigerate at 2–8 °C and protect from light. Use within 30 days. Discard if the solution becomes cloudy or discoloured.

For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption. Not a drug or dietary supplement.

Research record · preclinical

Three characterised lines of work

Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH) designed to interact with the GHRH receptor and support research into endocrine and metabolic signaling pathways. Structurally derived from the endogenous GHRH sequence, it is widely studied in preclinical and translational models examining growth hormone axis regulation, receptor-mediated signaling, and peptide-hormone communication. When you buy Tesamorelin from Pure Forge Labs, you receive a high-purity research compound verified by independent third-party laboratories to ensure data integrity and reproducible results. Free U.S. shipping is available on qualifying orders. Available Sizes: Tesamorelin is supplied as a high-purity lyophilized powder in multiple sizes to accommodate various research scales and experimental protocols:

01

Approved indication

A growth hormone releasing factor analogue approved by the FDA in November 2010 as Egrifta, for the reduction of excess abdominal fat in HIV-infected patients with lipodystrophy. Regulatory review documents set the indication out narrowly: excess visceral adipose tissue assessed by waist circumference at or above 95 cm in men and 94 cm in women and confirmed above 130 cm2 by computed tomography, in treatment-experienced adults, limited to those who did not reduce that tissue through diet and exercise, at 2 mg subcutaneously once daily.

02

Metabolic and hepatic record

The compound is described as a synthetic growth hormone releasing hormone analogue given subcutaneously, with major effects on glucose and lipid metabolism. A drug-induced liver injury monograph records that it has not been linked to elevations of serum aminotransferases during therapy, nor to instances of clinically apparent acute liver injury.

03

Trial under current antiretroviral regimens

The phase III programme was conducted before integrase inhibitors became a mainstay of antiretroviral therapy. A randomised double-blind trial of 61 people with HIV and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease was used to evaluate 2 mg daily against identical placebo among participants on integrase inhibitor regimens at baseline, with visceral fat cross-sectional area, hepatic fat fraction and trunk-to-appendicular fat ratio measured by magnetic resonance imaging, proton spectroscopy and dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry.

In vitro applications

Research area Assay
Visceral adiposity Visceral fat cross-sectional area by magnetic resonance imaging
Hepatic fat Proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy of hepatic fat fraction
Body composition Trunk-to-appendicular fat ratio by dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry
Metabolic readouts Glucose and lipid parameters during therapy
Hepatic safety Serum aminotransferase monitoring in the drug-injury record

This is the one compound in the range holding an FDA approval, and that approval is narrow: excess visceral adipose tissue in treatment-experienced adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy, at a defined dose, after diet and exercise have failed. It does not extend to body composition or performance use, and a 2026 review of peptides marketed direct to patients treats regulatory status and marketed use as separate questions. The dosing above is the approved clinical regimen and is quoted to describe the trial record, not as guidance.

Common questions

Ordering, handling and compliance. Anything not covered here, write to support@pureforgelabs.com.

What does research use only actually mean?

Every compound we sell is supplied for laboratory research and development only. It is not a drug, not a supplement, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition in humans or animals. Buying from this site means you are acquiring it for in vitro or other controlled research work.

Who is allowed to order?

Purchasers must be 21 or older and are responsible for compliance with the law where they take delivery. We ship to research institutions, laboratories and qualified individual researchers. We do not ship to jurisdictions where these compounds are restricted.

How do I read the certificate of analysis?

Check three things in order. First, the lot code on the certificate matches the code printed on your vial. Second, the HPLC chromatogram shows a single dominant peak with the stated purity figure. Third, the LC-MS mass matches the expected molecular weight, here 1419.56 g/mol. Anything that does not line up, send us the lot code.

How do I reconstitute and store it?

Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner wall of the vial and swirl — never shake. Once in solution, refrigerate at 2–8 °C, protect from light and use within 30 days. Unopened vials keep at ambient temperature short term, or at −20 °C beyond three months.

When does it ship and how?

Orders placed before 2 PM Pacific dispatch the same working day. Domestic delivery is two days, with tracking sent on dispatch. Shipping is free on orders over $200. International orders go out with a commercial invoice; transit is typically five to nine days.

What payment methods do you take?

Institutional purchase orders and bank transfer are available on wholesale accounts — apply through the wholesale programme and we will set up terms.

What if a vial arrives damaged?

Photograph the vial and outer packaging and email us within 48 hours of delivery. We replace damaged or compromised vials at our cost. Unopened vials can be returned within 30 days; opened vials cannot be resold and are not returnable.

Do you handle bulk and wholesale orders?

Yes. Volume pricing on this page runs to five vials; beyond that, a wholesale account gives tiered pricing, reserved lots and consolidated shipping. Reserved lots matter for multi-month studies where you need the same batch throughout.
