Storage & reconstitution

Before opening

Lyophilised powder is stable at ambient temperature in transit. On arrival, store sealed vials in a cool, dry, dark place. For storage beyond three months, keep at −20 °C.

Reconstitution

Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner vial wall. Do not shake — swirl gently until fully dissolved.

After reconstitution

Refrigerate at 2–8 °C and protect from light. Use within 30 days. Discard if the solution becomes cloudy or discoloured.

For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption. Not a drug or dietary supplement.

Three characterised lines of work

GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine Copper) is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide complex widely studied in cellular and molecular research. Researchers investigate GHK-Cu for its involvement in copper-associated signaling pathways, gene-expression regulation, extracellular matrix biology, and cellular communication processes. Buy GHK-Cu from Pure Forge Labs for 99.8%+ pure GHK-Cu, verified by accredited third-party laboratories for consistent quality. Sold for research use only. Available Sizes: GHK-Cu is supplied as a high-purity blue lyophilized powder in multiple sizes to support different research scales or experimental protocols: GHK-Cu 50mg GHK-Cu 100mg

01

Copper-binding tripeptide

GHK is a naturally occurring tripeptide found in human serum, reported at around 200 ng/ml at age 20 and around 80 ng/ml by age 60. It has high affinity for copper and forms the GHK-Cu chelate; both the peptide and the chelate are described as having tissue-remodelling and anti-inflammatory properties in vitro and in vivo.

02

Gene-level actions

A review of newer genetic data proposes that the breadth of reported actions reflects multiple biochemical pathways under the tripeptide's regulation, and catalogues reported effects on collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, blood vessel and nerve outgrowth, and suppression of molecules associated with ageing.

03

Defined pathway studies

More recent work identifies specific targets rather than broad activity: rescue of cigarette-smoke-induced skeletal muscle dysfunction through a sirtuin 1-dependent pathway, and attenuation of lung inflammation and fibrosis in silicosis by targeting peroxiredoxin 6.

In vitro applications

Research area Assay
Copper coordination Chelate formation and stability of the Cu(II) complex
Matrix synthesis Collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycan readouts in fibroblast culture
Pathway targeting SIRT1-dependent readouts in skeletal muscle models
Redox and fibrosis Peroxiredoxin 6 targeting in lung inflammation models
Inflammation models CuSO4- and LPS-induced inflammation in zebrafish larvae

A 2024 review of topically applied GHK notes that published information on skin permeability, effectiveness and physicochemical properties remains insufficient. The record is preclinical and in vitro, and the compound holds no FDA approval.

Common questions

Ordering, handling and compliance. Anything not covered here, write to support@pureforgelabs.com.

What does research use only actually mean?

Every compound we sell is supplied for laboratory research and development only. It is not a drug, not a supplement, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition in humans or animals. Buying from this site means you are acquiring it for in vitro or other controlled research work.

Who is allowed to order?

Purchasers must be 21 or older and are responsible for compliance with the law where they take delivery. We ship to research institutions, laboratories and qualified individual researchers. We do not ship to jurisdictions where these compounds are restricted.

How do I read the certificate of analysis?

Check three things in order. First, the lot code on the certificate matches the code printed on your vial. Second, the HPLC chromatogram shows a single dominant peak with the stated purity figure. Third, the LC-MS mass matches the expected molecular weight, here 1419.56 g/mol. Anything that does not line up, send us the lot code.

How do I reconstitute and store it?

Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner wall of the vial and swirl — never shake. Once in solution, refrigerate at 2–8 °C, protect from light and use within 30 days. Unopened vials keep at ambient temperature short term, or at −20 °C beyond three months.

When does it ship and how?

Orders placed before 2 PM Pacific dispatch the same working day. Domestic delivery is two days, with tracking sent on dispatch. Shipping is free on orders over $200. International orders go out with a commercial invoice; transit is typically five to nine days.

What payment methods do you take?

Institutional purchase orders and bank transfer are available on wholesale accounts — apply through the wholesale programme and we will set up terms.

What if a vial arrives damaged?

Photograph the vial and outer packaging and email us within 48 hours of delivery. We replace damaged or compromised vials at our cost. Unopened vials can be returned within 30 days; opened vials cannot be resold and are not returnable.

Do you handle bulk and wholesale orders?

Yes. Volume pricing on this page runs to five vials; beyond that, a wholesale account gives tiered pricing, reserved lots and consolidated shipping. Reserved lots matter for multi-month studies where you need the same batch throughout.
