A two-component research vial: cagrilintide, a long-acting amylin analogue, and semaglutide, a long-acting GLP-1 analogue, 5 mg each in one lyophilised powder. The same pairing has been studied in clinical trials as two separately formulated peptides.

A lipidated, long-acting analogue of amylin, developed to overcome the hormone's strong tendency to form amyloid fibrils and the short half-life of the earlier analogue pramlintide. Reviews describe amylin's satiating effect as acting on both homeostatic and hedonic regions of the brain.

A GLP-1 analogue with two amino-acid substitutions and a fatty-acid side chain that binds serum albumin, selected for prolonged exposure; in mini-pigs its plasma half-life after intravenous dosing was 46 hours.

Unlike most blends, this pairing has its own trial record: a phase 1b trial co-escalating the two components, a phase 2 trial in type 2 diabetes comparing the combination with each component alone, and phase 3 trials in adults with overweight or obesity, with and without type 2 diabetes, reported in 2025. In the phase 2 trial the combination reduced body weight more than either component, while its effect on glycated haemoglobin was greater than cagrilintide's but not significantly greater than semaglutide's.

The trials above tested the two peptides as separately formulated components; this vial holds both as one lyophilised mixture, and no study of such a pre-mixed powder was found. Semaglutide is the active ingredient of approved medicines; cagrilintide on its own holds no FDA approval, and an application to approve the two as a fixed-dose combination was filed with the FDA in December 2025.

Third, where the lab ran mass spectrometry, the measured mass matches the expected molecular weight of the compound. Anything that does not line up, send us the lot code.
