A two-component research vial: cagrilintide, a long-acting amylin analogue, and retatrutide, a single peptide acting at the GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon receptors, 10 mg each in one lyophilised powder.

A lipidated, long-acting analogue of amylin, developed to overcome the hormone's strong tendency to form amyloid fibrils and the short half-life of the earlier analogue pramlintide. Reviews describe amylin's satiating effect as acting on both homeostatic and hedonic regions of the brain.

A single peptide with balanced activity at the glucagon and GLP-1 receptors and greater activity at the GIP receptor. In obese mice its added weight loss is attributed to glucagon-receptor-mediated increases in energy expenditure on top of the reduction in calorie intake driven through the two incretin receptors.

Reviews of the obesity pipeline treat amylin analogues and multi-receptor incretin agonists as separate approaches and name semaglutide as cagrilintide's clinical partner. No study of cagrilintide combined with retatrutide was found: the pairing rests on the two acting through separate receptor systems, not on a measured combined effect.

Everything above was established on the two peptides separately. No controlled study of this combination was found, so any interaction between them is an assumption here and not a finding. Neither peptide holds FDA approval; both were in late-stage clinical development in 2025–2026, where the most common adverse events were gastrointestinal.

Third, where the lab ran mass spectrometry, the measured mass matches the expected molecular weight of the compound. Anything that does not line up, send us the lot code.
