Storage & reconstitution

Before opening

Lyophilised powder is stable at ambient temperature in transit. On arrival, store sealed vials in a cool, dry, dark place. For storage beyond three months, keep at −20 °C.

Reconstitution

Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner vial wall. Do not shake — swirl gently until fully dissolved.

After reconstitution

Refrigerate at 2–8 °C and protect from light. Use within 30 days. Discard if the solution becomes cloudy or discoloured.

For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption. Not a drug or dietary supplement.

Common questions

Ordering, handling and compliance. Anything not covered here, write to support@pureforgelabs.com.

What is bacteriostatic water?

Sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. The benzyl alcohol suppresses bacterial growth, which is what allows a sealed bottle to be entered more than once during a series of preparations. It is supplied for laboratory research use only.

How is it different from sterile water for injection?

Sterile water for injection carries no preservative, so it is single-use: once the seal is broken the remainder is discarded. Bacteriostatic water is preserved, so the same bottle can be drawn from repeatedly within its in-use window. Choose the preserved fluid when a lyophilised compound will be reconstituted and drawn from over several sessions.

How long does it keep once opened?

Benzyl alcohol preserved water is conventionally treated as good for 28 days after the first puncture, stored at room temperature away from light. Note the date on the bottle when you first enter it. Discard earlier if the fluid becomes cloudy or discoloured, or if the stopper integrity is in any doubt.

What does research use only actually mean?

Every compound we sell is supplied for laboratory research and development only. It is not a drug, not a supplement, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition in humans or animals. Buying from this site means you are acquiring it for in vitro or other controlled research work.

Who is allowed to order?

Purchasers must be 21 or older and are responsible for compliance with the law where they take delivery. We ship to research institutions, laboratories and qualified individual researchers. We do not ship to jurisdictions where these compounds are restricted.

When does it ship and how?

Orders placed before 2 PM Pacific dispatch the same working day. Domestic delivery is two days, with tracking sent on dispatch. Shipping is free on orders over $200. International orders go out with a commercial invoice; transit is typically five to nine days.

What payment methods do you take?

Institutional purchase orders and bank transfer are available on wholesale accounts — apply through the wholesale programme and we will set up terms.

What if a bottle arrives damaged?

Photograph the bottle in the packaging before doing anything else and email us the same day. A cracked bottle, a lifted or pierced seal, a crimp that turns, or fluid anywhere in the box all mean the contents are no longer preserved — do not draw from it. We replace it or refund it; you do not need to return the damaged bottle.

Do you handle bulk and wholesale orders?

Yes. Volume pricing on this page runs to five vials; beyond that, a wholesale account gives tiered pricing, reserved lots and consolidated shipping. Reserved lots matter for multi-month studies where you need the same batch throughout.
